A pair of Mallards in a garden pond, Cambridge

This pair of Mallard ducks (Anas platyrhynchos) decided to take up residence in my garden pond in Cambridge. It wasn't long before they had shredded all the pond vegetation. Finally, with the help of one of the neighbouring cats, I managed to evict them. I felt a bit bad about doing that, but my little garden is really unsuitable as a place for them to raise a family.
