Skimmers and terns on Cape Canaveral beach (Florida)

Flocks of Black Skimmers (Rynchops niger) and Royal terns (Sterna maxima) rest on Cape Canaveral beach. They rise into the air when disturbed by walkers. There is an almost solid wall of condominiums and hotels behind the dunes between Cape Canaveral and Cocoa Beach.
